Clinical Trials Manager (80-100%)

The European Alliance of Associations for Rheumatology (EULAR) is the organisation which represents the people with arthritis/rheumatism, health professionals, and scientific societies of rheumatology of all the European nations. EULAR is a non-profit scientific and educational association recognised by Swiss law.

EULAR has established a Research Centre with the objective of driving a wide range of initiatives in clinical, basic and translational, and public health/epidemiological research. The Clinical Research Sub-committee is now looking to recruit an individual with extensive experience in clinical trials who will support the committee in developing a European Network of TRIal (ENTRI) Centres. The successful candidate will work closely with EULAR and with members of the sub-committee.

For legal reasons, EULAR can offer a regular employment contract only to candidates residing in Switzerland. Candidates residing outside Switzerland could be engaged through an agreement with their current employer (university/ research institute), or other institution.
 

Your responsibilities:

  • To drive the development and implementation of the new ENTRI initiative
  • To provide project management support to members of the Clinical Research Sub-Committee
  • To use your extensive experience in clinical trials to define key criteria for membership to ENTRI
  • To coordinate engagement with stakeholders and experts, including National Societies and Research Organisations across Europe
  • To support the development of a database of clinical trials centres
  • To coordinate the road testing of ENTRI in operational terms
  • To engage with and involve patient research partners
  • To liaise with the EULAR Research team (based in Zurich), e.g., in supporting committee meetings and coordinating team events
  • Ensure smooth communication between all internal and external stakeholders
  • Support and administrate the EULAR ENTRI mailbox

 

Your profile:

  • First and foremost, you will be a dynamic and enthusiastic member of a team, with a willingness to bring your own ideas and approaches to the table. In addition, we are also looking for:
  • Experience in Clinical Trials as a trials manager or as a research nurse
  • Work experience in project management
  • Proficiency in common IT systems (MS Office) and ability to adapt to new IT solutions
  • Stress-resistance, a positive personality with a very high engagement level
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Excellence in written and verbal communication skills in English
  • A strong team player
  • A sense of ethics, responsibility, and confidentiality
  • Interest in working with a diverse range of people from different cultures

 

Start: Immediate

Salary: up to 100,000 euros per annum, according to experience
