Event Assistant (100%), Kilchberg – Zurich

The European Alliance of Associations for Rheumatology (EULAR) is the organisation which represents the people with arthritis/rheumatism, health professionals, and scientific societies of rheumatology of all the European nations. EULAR is a non-profit scientific and educational association recognised by Swiss law. Each year, it hosts a congress with approximately 14,000 delegates (www.congress.eular.org). In addition, EULAR organises a huge variety of smaller events.

EULAR is looking for an Event Assistant with experience in executing events and strong IT skills. The Event Assistant is supposed to support the Event Coordinator in the daily business.

Your tasks:

  • Plan and execute events assigned by Event Coordinator
  • In charge of checking-in guests, helping with set-up, monitoring the event and close the event
  • Main duties include sourcing venues, determining the costs, arranging event services, and monitoring cancellation policy

Your profile:

  • Experience in in hospitality, event management or a related field
  • Proficient in common IT systems (MS Office) and ability to adapt to new IT solutions
  • Stress-resistant, positive personality with very high engagement level
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Strong team player
  • Sense of ethics, responsibility, and confidentiality
  • Availability to travel internationally
  • Availability to work on weekends
  • Interest in working with diverse people from different cultures.
