HarmonicSS is a private-public funded research project entitled HARMONIsation and integrative analysis of regional, national and international cohorts on Sjörgen's Syndrome (pSS), working towards improved stratification, treatment and health policy-making disease.

EULAR PARE and the Sjörgen's Syndrome Foundation (SSF) have an advisory role in HarmonicSS and will continously monitor and evaluate the project (outcomes) in terms of impact on patients. EULAR PARE and SSF have a major role in the dissemination of the results to patient associations and the general public.

This is a ground-breaking pilot for EULAR to bring in the patient perspective via the EULAR PARE Committee.


1st SS Patients' Group Meeting, 16 June, 2017

During the EULAR Congress in Madrid, representatives from SS European Patients' Groups were introduced to the HarmonicSS Project.

HarmonicSS: Primary Sjörgen's Syndrome Patients Advisory Group (pSS PAG)

The pSS PAG was established to ensure that national Sjörgens Patient Associations are adequately involved. The group will be consulted regularly and mails are sent out to the pSS groups and EULAR PARE member organisations.

This project was started in 2017 ran until December 2020. It involved 35 partners from 15 countries, led by the University of Athens, Greece.

The project has received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreemend No. 739144 and from the Swiss State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI), under grant agreement No. 16.0210.
